Coburg announce first re-signings of the 2015 list.

First Re-SigningsWhile the Coburg Football Club have been busy on the recruiting front as of late, the club are glad to announce six members of the 2015 playing list have re committed for the 2016 season.

Nathan Blair, Robbie Fox, Liam Hunt, Josh Iacobaccio, Jake Kalanj, and Daniel Younan have all agreed to terms for next season.

A courageous defender, Nathan managed 15 games in 2015, taking his senior game tally to 33 following his debut in 2014.

An ex Tasmanian representative in underage football, Robbie managed a fourth place finish in the best and fairest after quad injuries hampered his start to the season, an outstanding effort after arriving at the club from Essendon District League side Aberfeldie.

One of the top Northern Knights players of 2014, Liam managed his place in the opening five senior matches until a strained medial ligament derailed his season. Upon return, Liam could not break back into the senior side, however managed the last senior game of the year and played a key role in the finals for the clubs development side.

Josh managed nine senior games in his debut season, and was a key player in the development side’s finals campaign, and will be pushing for more senior selection in 2016, after a promising debut season in the VFL.

Having been injured for most of the year, Jake managed to break into the Development side in the third last game of the season and held his spot since, adding another dimension to the forward line. With a full preseason behind him, Jake will be looking to make his senior debut in 2016.

The clubs Vice-Captain, Danny managed all 18 games in 2015 with 24 goals, taking out the clubs leading goal kicker award for the first time. Danny’s leadership will be crucial to Coburg again in 2016.

We are delighted to have these six players as the first of many going around again in 2016!
