Bendigo Pioneers Coaches Award winner signs for 2016!
Coburg have added to its defensive depth for the 2016 season, signing Bendigo Pioneer youngster Jesse Muscatello.
A junior from Sunraysia Football League side South Mildura, Jesse was a full time member of the Pioneers squad in 2015, being part of the Bendigo Senior Secondary school football program. Jesse is a 189cm defender who can give us flexible options in defence, either as a key tall or a medium defender providing plenty of run out of the backline.
In sixteen games for the Pioneers in 2015, Jesse managed to be named amongst the coaches’ best six times. As a result he was the recipient of the clubs Coaches’ Award, as a testament to his hard work and dedication towards his football throughout the season. Despite being undersized, Jesse was also thrust into the ruck at times throughout 2015, further adding to his versatility.
Lions List Manager Sebastian Spagnuolo was delighted to have attained Jesse’s services for the 2016 season. “We’re really happy to have Jesse joining our football club in 2016 and he joins our very exciting batch of TAC Cup Graduates. He’s a player that can develop into a fine defender for our football club.”
Jesse is a fierce competitor who is willing not to be beaten at all times when it comes to a contest, which results in the contest being either won or halved. We are excited to have Jesse’s services for the 2016 season, and we look forward to see him furthering his football with us.
