Former Tasmanian Fox goes from Zebra to Lion!

Coburg’s key position forward depth has been bolstered, with the signing of Tasmanian Josh Fox from Sandringham.

The 197cm key forward broke through for his senior VFL debut for the Zebras in the second last round of the 2017 season, and kicked five goals from his two games at senior level. Fox spent the majority of his two seasons at the Trevor Barker Beach Oval playing at Development League level having joined for the 2016 season.  For his size, Fox boasts outstanding mobility & agility, and also has an exceptional contested marking ability.

Fox can’t wait to begin when training resumes in the New Year.

“I’m ecstatic at the opportunity to play at Coburg under Leigh Adams in 2018. The club have been terrific in getting me across, & its exciting to be able to learn off blokes like Tom Goodwin to improve my footy. Hopefully with such a young, hardworking list, we can really push to get more wins in 2018,” said a determined Fox.

General Manager Sebastian Spagnuolo was delighted to have secured the services of the big forward for season 2018.

“We feel Josh can help us address some height issues in our forward line and provide a tall mobile target for the team. We’re excited to have him join our program and looking forward to seeing what he can achieve at VFL Level with greater opportunity,” said Spagnuolo.
