Having a team with an average age of 20 years and nine months, Goodwin hopes he can help the newer boys settle into the club and play some great games of football.
“If I can help them in their development in any way I possibly can off the field as well as on the field, then that’s certainly the way I’m going to go about this year.” He said.
Five long months of hard work will also be put to the test tomorrow, with Goodwin hoping to really push Coburg’s competitive edge.
“Our defensive pressure has got to be up, along with our pressure,” he said.
“That’s what we are going to build our game around, and if we can bring that then I’m sure we can give most clubs a shake this year.”
