Big boy McEvoy lands at Piranha Park!

McEvoyThe Coburg Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Peter McEvoy from the Box Hill Hawks.

The younger brother of Ben McEvoy, Peter played his junior football with Wodonga Raiders before moving to Tasmania, where he played with Old Scholars Association side University. Peter managed 65 goals in 31 games, before he headed back to Victoria following the completion of his university studies.

Peter joined the Box Hill Hawks for the 2014 season where he managed 65 goals in 18 games for the clubs development league side, and also won the A. Todd Medal as the competitions best and fairest winner. He made his debut for the senior side in that seasons qualifying final against Port Melbourne where he kicked two goals, helping Box Hill to a memorable win. While Peter started 2015 in the senior side, he spent the rest of the season in the development league, where he managed 16 goals in nine games.

A strong marking, hardworking leading forward that can play a little higher up the ground and is dangerous around goal, Peter joins ex Hawks team mates Tom Goodwin, Tom Miles and Jake Kalanj at Piranha Park, and adds to the clubs much needed forward stocks. We are stoked to have Peter on board for the 2016 season.
