2018 Practice Match Schedule Confirmed!

Brooke Varney.
As seen in last Thursday’s edition of “The Roar,”  Coburg Football Club are pleased to announce that our three practice matches ahead of the 2018 Peter Jackson VFL season have been finalised.
Our first practice match will see us go up against Collingwood on Friday March 16th at 7pm at the Holden Centre, opposite Hisense Arena. Only playing Collingwood once in the 2017 season during Round One, it was a nail-biting end which saw us go down by just two points.
The following week on Saturday March 24th, we will take on North Melbourne for the first time, as they have separated from their affiliation with Werribee. The match will take place at 2pm at Arden St, North Melbourne.
Our final practice match will be against Sandringham Zebras on Friday March 30th (Good Friday), at 2pm. In 2017, we beat Sandringham in Round 10 for our first win of the year, and was a memorable game for many of our players and coaching staff.
This practice match is scheduled to be held at our home ground Piranha Park*. We will have our canteen and bar open for snacks and refreshments, with our membership and merchandise tents also up and running to get your hands on all things Coburg FC.
We look forward to taking on these quality opponents ahead of our 2018 Peter Jackson VFL campaign, and hope to see our members, fans, family, and friends all come down to support our Lions!
All practice matches are free to attend.
*On advice from Moreland City Council, if our ground is not ready this match may be relocated to Trevor Barker Oval.
