Coburg FC is proud to announce it’s corporate partnership with Boob Armour for it’s inaugural Senior Women’s team in 2021, which is the club’s first women’s side in the club’s 130 year history.

Boob Armour, already a sponsor of the AFLW program and supporter of the McGrath Foundation, has created Protective Sports Inserts to protect the breast tissue of women that play contact sport and their product is regarded as “The mouth guard of the future”, and it’s easy to see why.

The women’s breast guard is designed to help provide protection for the female athletes taking the football field during a contact game, much like how athletes would use a mouth guard or shin guards for protective support. The inserts are there to provide breast support, absorb impact and alleviate injury from any force that would be deemed excessive to the protected region that the athlete would experience on a daily occurrence.

When asked about the new partnership and what it means for the clubs women’s team; Coburg FC General Manager, Sebastian Spagnuolo said “Boob Armour is a startup company that has already received much acclaim in the AFLW industry and has some high profile brand ambassadors already, so we’re really excited about this 2 year partnership for our Women’s team which will see our players provided with their very own Boob Armour product.  We look forward to working with the Boob Armour team in 2021 and beyond to make this partnership a success for both parties”

Boob Armour’s Founder and Owner Suzie Betts also shared her excitement with this new partnership saying “Its really great to partner with such a legendary club and be there for the launch of the first women’s side.  Protecting female athletes from impact & injury is our number one goal. And now we’re doing this together”

With the unveiling of their new home ground facilities at Piranha Park, the debut of their inaugural women’s team and this new partnership between Coburg and Boob Armour, there seems to be more and more excitement building in the air down at the Den as both Lions & Lionesses alike head towards what is sure to be a promising future starting in Season 2021.
