On Wednesday night (6/3) the club hosted its 2019 club sponsors and partners for an official season launch.
The event was hosted by Coburg FC Board Member and media professional Megan Hustwaite.
The night began with club President Kevin Breen welcoming all guests, sponsors and community partners and encouraging them to “stick with our great club as we head through a period of excitement and growth.”
Up next was club General Manager Sebastian Spagnuolo, who took the crowd through a presentation which outlined the club’s history, current community focus and of course the excitement around the upcoming redevelopment of the Coburg City Oval facility. Spagnuolo then added that “our club partners allow us to keep giving opportunities to young men, and one day women to follow their dreams and play at the highest level possible, which is vitally important in the inner-Northern suburbs.”
The sponsors and club partners then received great insight into the football department by hearing from senior coach Leigh Adams as well as new Co-Captains Ryan Exon and Peter McEvoy who discussed the sacrifices, commitment and motivation that exists within our playing group, “as we head toward something really special together.”
Adams also thanked the sponsors and explained “your contributions are crucial to our club and very appreciated, we have a great group of young men who all understand the importance of being a close group, we encourage you as our sponsors to be as engaged as you’d like to be too.”
GM Spagnuolo also announced to the crowd that the club had surpassed 700 members for the first time in it’s 128 year history.

Also a dinner for two at Melba’s Restaurant at the Langham Hotel was won by Gaylene from Alphington Sports Medicine, seen here with Co-Captain Peter McEvoy.
Ahenk from Network Steadfast won the signed Coburg FC 2019 guernsey.
