Lions Celebrate NAIDOC Week

Celebrate NAIDOC week with your Coburg Lions.
To coincide with NAIDOC week the Coburg Lions will be running a host of game day events, for their round 14 clash against the Sandringham Zebras.
The 4th of July marks the start of NAIDOC week. Originally standing for the ‘National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee’ it is now a week long celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements, and recognises Indigenous Australians’ contributions to our country.
On field our boys will be wearing a one off Indigenous Jumper, designed by the talented Shelley Ware from the Marngrook footy show with assistance from her husband Steven.
