Lions land another young gun

The Coburg Football Club edge closer to finalising its 2020 playing squad with the signing of Nathan Boucher, who joins from the Box Hill Hawks.

Boucher, 20, is a crafty midfielder/forward who has featured 14 times for the Hawks in the past two seasons.  When not in the Hawks lineup, the former Oakleigh Charger, Nathan played for Collegians in the VAFA Premier A competition.

Following Nathan’s commitment to the club, General Manager Sebastian Spagnuolo went on to say ”Nathan has been a player of interest for us for a couple of seasons and we believe he’ll be another great addition to our squad. He’s a great athlete who uses the ball with great creativity, loves to hit the scoreboard but also defends well too”

“In round two 2019, Nathan kicked 4 goals and had around 20 disposals against Sandringham and two weeks later found himself out of the Hawks team and back at local level due to the amount of available Hawthorn players, so now that he’s made the move to our standalone environment we feel excited about his ability to be a solid weekly contributor at VFL level with us in 2020”
