Another set of brothers will appear at Piranha Park next season with midfielder Tom Jepson joining younger brother Ben at Coburg.

Tom Jepson had a dominant season for VAFA side Old Carey in 2021, winning the senior best and fairest. Jepson played 11 matches this year and was named in the best on seven occasions.

The 22-year-old was previously on Port Melbourne’s VFL list in 2018.

Following his outstanding season for Old Carey in 2021, Tom is determined to make a strong impression in his VFL second coming in 2022.

Upon signing with Coburg, Jepson expressed his excitement saying “I’m really grateful to be given the opportunity to play at such a great club”.

“I’m looking forward to being able to play with a great group of guys and working with an amazing coaching staff, bring on 2022.”

Club General Manager Sebastian Spagnuolo said Jepson had already impressed during preseason training

“It’s obviously great for Tom having a brother that is on the list already, but that’s not the reason that Tom joins us in 2022,” he said.

“Since joining as a preseason trialist, our coaches have been really pleased with Tom’s work rate, intensity, training standards and his desire to be the ultimate team first person if and when given the opportunity to play for the club.”
