Coburg are pleased to announce another signing in Tom Simpson.
Simpson makes the move to Piranha Park after spending 2018 with Essendon’s VFL side, having been added to the list mid-season after spending time in their development squad.
Simpson has managed 95 games of Senior Northern Football League with Hurstbridge, having made his debut in 2013. A strongly built midfielder, he was close to making his VFL debut late in the season, however ultimately would be set back by injury.
GM Seb Spagnuolo was pleased with the addition of the young midfielder to the club.
“Tom was VFL listed with Essendon in the back half of 2018, and was close to getting opportunities there.”
“He’s played some good Senior Football for Hurstbridge & is already a well-liked and respected character amongst our playing and coaching group.”
