Coburg has been dealt an intriguing fixture for next season, with the Lions opening the season against the former aligned Richmond at Piranha Park on Saturday April 18th.
This is followed by a trip to Box Hill City Oval to play the Grand Final runner-ups.
Round Eight marks the first time in seven seasons since a Queens Birthday VFL match has taken place, Coburg to host a blockbuster match against crosstown rivals the Northern Blues. This clash aside, the first half of the season will be rounded out with home games against Collingwood and Geelong, and a trip to Casey Fields.
Between Rounds 12-16 Coburg will play five finalists from last year in a row, including the likes of Port Melbourne, Sandringham and Premiers’ Footscray.
Coburg’s bye rounds will be in Rounds 5 and 11.
Box Hill are the only top 8 side from last year that Coburg play twice. The others are Casey, Richmond and Frankston.
The Development League side will open there season against the other Tigers of the VFL, in Werribee on Saturday the 18th of April. Additional byes will be held in round four and fifteen. Coburg will play Port Melbourne and the Casey Scorpions three times each, and will play Werribee, Box Hill, Frankston, and the Northern Blues twice.
The Seven Network will be responsible for the TV rights for the VFL season in 2015, with broadcasted games to be determined in the New Year. Prices for entry will be $10 for Adults, $5 for concession and free for those under the age of 15. The VFL Legendary Finals series will begin on the 5th of September, with the Grand Final to be played on the 27th of that month.
