Opportunity too good to pass for Northe

10385295_729406340447893_6393961795545647716_nThe Coburg Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of another Box Hill player, with Matthew Northe committing to the club for the 2015 season.
Originally from Traralgon and the Gippsland Power in the TAC Cup, Northe managed seven senior games in two seasons at Box Hill City Oval, including six in the Box Hill Premiership year of 2013. A prominent performer at Development League Level, Northe played in both Box Hill’s Grand Final losses to Williamstown in 2013 and 2014.
Standing at 182 centimetres and 76 kilos, Northe is an outside midfielder who can be used on the half forward flank, or a wing. He comes to Coburg with the willingness to play more as an inside midfielder, as opposed to being a goal kicking midfielder, as distributed in his time at the Hawks.
In 29 VFL Development League games for Box Hill, Northe managed 38 goals. In his final TAC Cup season with the Power, he managed 26 goals from 19 games.
We are delighted to have a player of Matt’s calibre on board for the 2015 season.
