Coburg are pleased to announce that former Collingwood big man Darrean Wyatt will be furthering his football with Coburg in 2017.
The former US College Basketballer with the College of Coastal Georgia managed 12 games for Collingwood’s VFL side in 2016 kicking nine goals. He was delisted at seasons end, failing to play an AFL game.
Originally from Sandringham College, amongst Wyatt’s better performances came against Coburg late in the season where he managed 18 possessions, and also managed three goals in one quarter against the Northern Blues in round four. However, Wyatt would lose his place for Collingwood’s finals campaign in the VFL.
Standing at 203cm, Wyatt adds considerably to the Lions key tall stocks, however is likely to be used in his preferred position as a key defender, however will also likely be tried up forward or in the ruck.
After just one season at the Holden Centre, Wyatt is eager to continue to learn and cannot wait to resume his career at Piranha Park.

Lions List & Recruiting Manager Sebastian Spagnuolo was pleased to have secured the former Basketballers signature, adding valuable key position depth.
