After a disappointing trip to Frankston last week, Coburg will return home on Saturday where they will host Collingwood on Vicki Cleary Day.
Giving up seven unanswered goals in the first quarter was not an ideal start for the Lions last week, and that will have to be rectified if they are a chance to knock off the Magpies.
They will be up against a tough Collingwood side who have lost just once this season and are sitting second on the ladder following a tight win over Geelong last week.
Jarryd Blair and Andrew Gallucci have been in-form in the forward half for the Pies and will need to be stopped by the likes of Jesse Corigliano and Josh Iacobaccio, who will both be in for a big day in defence for Coburg.
A four-quarter performance is what coach Leigh Adams will be hoping for, in what is a massive day for the club both on and off the field.
Vice-captain Peter McEvoy returns to play his first game for the year and will be a welcome addition, adding experience to a young side.
Nick Mellington will play his 50th senior VFL game and his experience will be needed with youngsters Marcus Lentini and Jack Murphy named alongside him in the midfield. James Belo is also back into the side this week named in defence, and will offer some grunt.
Turnovers have been a major problem so far, so if Coburg are able to limit them this week they will be in with a chance against Collingwood.
