Form in 2019
Coburg –
Showing good signs over the last 3 weeks particularly against VFL powerhouse Williamstown, Coburg came out in round 9 surprisingly slow against a high flying Geelong outfit. Continuing to strive for consistence performance over a full game, Coburg will be eager to put on a good showing against the home crowd this week when they play Sandringham.
Sandringham –
Sitting steady inside the top 8 of the competition, Sandringham have managed to win 4 games in 7 rounds while setting their second half season up preparing to climb even further up the ladder. Narrowly going down to Essendon last week by 13 points, Sandringham will no doubt be full of confidence and be prepared for Sundays clash.
Players to watch
Coburg –
Peter McEvoy
The courageous Coburg captain had 7 contested marks and kicked 2.2 last week in the loss to Geelong. Against Sandringham last year, Pete was almost the difference as four late goals to ‘Choi’ saw the game end in a draw. He’s ready to cause more headaches for the Sandringham defence.
William Donaghey
After taking the opportunity given to him in round 8, Will has been embraced the chance and put his best foot forward over the last 3 matches. Coming off a positive performance against Geelong, Donaghey has been named in the starting line-up and will be ready to continue his fine form in the midfield this week.
Sandringham –
Max King
After kicking 6 goals in his last 2 games against both Essendon and the Northern Blues, with both sides sitting in the top 8. King will be full of confidence this week. The 200cm+ forward juggernaut looks set to hit his straps this week at Piranha Park.
Dan Hannebery
A champion footballer that does not need an introduction. Sydney Swans premiership player and highly valued now at St Kilda as a utility, Hannebery is set to make his long awaited debut and will no doubt be looking to hit form quickly to break into the senior side and make his impact.

Another great opportunity to get down to Piranha Park this week and fire up our boys as we take on an in-form Sandringham side. We look forward to seeing the Coburg faithful again and also welcome all St Kilda fans who can still get their dose of footy action with their AFL team away in China.
