VFL Team Selection – Round 21

By Mathew Asciak

Coburg has made four changes to the line-up ahead of the Lions’ last home game of the season against North Melbourne.  The long awaited return for small forward Sam Lowson has come after successfully recovering from an injury he suffered against Richmond in Round 13.

Corey Ellis will also re-join the squad this week after being forced to adhere to health and safety protocols for Covid-19.  Max Thompson and Ben Overman will be additions to the squad.

Of the four omissions from the squad, two are forced due to injury, with Lachlan Walker and Josh Watson succumbing to knee and collarbone injuries respectively. Jhye Badderley-Kelly and Harry Andronaco have been omitted.

The Lions will look to secure their 5th victory for the season in front of their home fans for the final time in 2022.  North is seeking their 4th victory of the season, coming off a 20-point home defeat to Sydney last week.

North Melbourne’s side will feature plenty of AFL listed players including last year’s number one draft pick Jason Horne-Francis, Tarryn Thomas, Aiden Bonar and Phoenix Spicer.

IN: Lowson, Ellis, Overman, M. Thompson

OUT: Badderley-Kelly, Watson, Andronaco, Walker
