As Coburg prepares for it’s first interstate game of 2023 they have announced the squad of 28 players for the round 9 match against Brisbane.
Coming off another heartbreaking 7 point loss to the Northern Bullants, Coburg has added Max Kennedy, Daniel Owen, Daniel Johnston, Ryan Exon, Josh Kemp, Ingo Dammersmith, Ben Rigoni and Jonathan Marsh to
The initial squad of 28 players is shown below with the final team of 23 players to be finalised before the game.
Coming out of the squad are Ryan Sturgess (injury), Ben Cameron and Liam Podhajski.
For Jonathan Marsh and Josh Kemp it’s a chance of seeing them play their first VFL games for 2023 and for Ingo Dammersmith and Ben Rigoni, it is a chance to make their VFL debuts. Ryan Exon, Max Kennedy, Daniel Owen and Daniel Johnston have worked hard to be considered for a recall to the Coburg team.
Coburg and Brisbane have played eachother only twice with Coburg winning the first encounter up in Brisbane in 2021 and then Brisbane winning, again up in Brisbane in 2022.
