LIONS ANNOUNCE SQUAD FOR STANDALONE CONTEST

Coburg, still searching for its first win of the 2023 VFL season, have announced the 27-man squad that will return to Piranha Park in Coburg to take on a formidable Werribee team on Saturday in our 3rd all-standalone battle for the season..

Coming off a loss against Sandringham at Moorabbin, Coburg will once again look to gain further improvement and development into many young and exciting players.

Added to the squad are George Belcher, who has been knocking on the door whilst at Old Trinity, Alex Lukic fresh off a bag of goals for Collegians in the VAFA, Ben Rigoni, who once again excelled for Seymour, Max Kennedy who may return from injury, Tom Jepson, following serious form for Old Carey and Jhye Baddeley-Kelly who returns from illness.

At this stage, the only confirmed omissions from the team that played against Sandringham are Sam Mason (injured) and Dan Owen.

Coburg play against Werribee who had a 28 point win over Casey last week and are currently sitting 4th on the VFL ladder and have 6 wins so far in 2023.
