Due to a competition bye in the VFL for the battle of the VFL vs SANFL, some of our players who’s local leagues have begun, had the opportunity to showcase their talent and skills over the weekend.

Among them were standout performances from Josh D’Intinosante (JD), Ben Major, Daniel Johnston (DJ) and Ben Rigoni. JD, known for his precision on the field, delivered a stellar performance for South Morang.

JD kicked an impressive 7 goals and 5 behinds, contributing significantly to his team’s victory. Meanwhile, Ben Major demonstrated his scoring prowess for Diamond Creek, netting an impressive 5 goals and 6 behinds. His ability to find space and capitalize on opportunities proved instrumental in securing a win for his side.

DJ made his mark for Mooroopna, showcasing his goal-scoring ability with 5 goals and 1 behind. His skilful play and determination were crucial in guiding his team to success on the field.

In Seymour’s closely contested match, Ben Rigoni stood out as a standout performer despite his team’s narrow loss. Rigoni’s dominance on the field was evident as he amassed 27 disposals and contributed with a crucial goal, earning him the title of best on ground.

These standout performances not only highlight the individual talent of these boys and the work they have been putting in during our preseason but also but their commitment to making an impact wherever they play.

This coming weekend we are scheduled for a club bye, however the boys will be playing an exhibition match against the Under 18’s AFL Academy side at Ikon Park. Stay tuned for more details this week.
