Coburg Football Club is thrilled to announce that Jamie Cassidy-McNamara will continue as our VFL Men’s Senior Coach for the 2025 season.
Jamie’s commitment to our club has been instrumental in our growth over the past two years. His leadership and vision have laid the groundwork for our future success, and we are confident that under his continued guidance, we will reach new heights.
Nick Byrne, General Manager of Football, shared his thoughts on Jamie’s re-signing, “We are excited to extend Jamie’s contract and have him commit to the club for 2025. The improvement in our team performance this season is testament to the commitment and talent of the players, as well as the diligence and progression of Jamie and his coaching staff. Our vision for a club that reflects our community and develops the code in our region begins with our primary function, which is building football programs that deliver sustained success. This appointment is a major piece of that.”
Jamie also expressed his enthusiasm about re-signing with the Lions, stating, “I’m really excited to be re-signing and I am looking forward to playing my part in our continual growth as a club. I believe we’ve set some really strong foundations over the past 24 months, which, coupled with the fantastic player retention that we will soon announce, puts us in a great position to improve further and set our expectations higher.”
