Coburg will be handing Senior VFL debuts to potentially up to a dozen Lions ahead of this weekend’s round one clash with Casey Demons on Sunday at 1pm at Piranha Park.
Billy Cannolo, who played a number of games with Coburg’s Development League side last season, looks certain to make his first Senior VFL appearance.
New recruits James Belo, Josh Fox, Lochlan Dickson, Jack Murphy, Marcus Lentini, and Max-Mitchell Russell as the 23rd man, have also been selected to make their Coburg debuts. Jake Page, Josh Guthrie & Harry Nolan could potentially join them, all three named on the extended interchange bench.
Skipper Tom Goodwin has also been named to play in the season opener, making it not only his 50th Senior VFL match, but also his 50th VFL game as a Lion.
