Western Jets captain agrees to terms for 2016!
The Coburg Football Club are delighted to announce that Jaycob Hickey has agreed to terms for 2016.
The Western Jets captain of 2015, Jaycob managed twelve appearances and was named amongst the coaches best seven times, after injury delayed the start to his season. In 2014, Jaycob managed 17 appearances for the Jets, which included their first final, as a bottom ager.
Despite the Western Jets indifferent 2015 season, Jaycob’s form in 2015 did not go unnoticed. He was named in the preliminary squad for Vic Metro in the NAB under 18 championships, however didn’t manage a game. Jaycob also earnt selection in the AFL Victoria Young Guns game, which was played during the VFL finals series.
Originally from Melton, Jaycob joins a few former Western Jets team mates at Piranha Park, in particular fellow Melton junior Mark Orr. With genuine leadership credentials, we are delighted to have attained Jaycob’s services for the 2016 season.
