VAFA sharpshooter signs for 2016!
Coburg are delighted to announce that one of the VAFA’s premier key forwards in Jake Lew has committed to the club for the 2016 season.
A former Sandringham Dragons player in the TAC Cup, Jake has played with the Ajax senior side in the VAFA since 2010, managing 103 senior games for a return of 320 goals. The 2015 season saw him manage 69 goals from 17 matches in Premier B of the VAFA competition, resulting in him leading the competition goal kicking. He also managed ten goals in one game and was named amongst the coaches’ best on eight occasions.
Jake was also a member of Ajax’s premiership side in the VAFA’s premier C competition in 2011, where he managed 83 goals for the season. While he has achieved much team and individual success with Ajax, Jake has also managed to represent the VAFA under 23 side as well as the VAFA senior representative side consisting of players from the Premier B competition right down to the Division 4 competition.
We are delighted to have Jake on board for the 2016 season, and we look forward to offer him the chance to display his wares at VFL level.
