Former Port Adelaide Magpies player Rivva Karpany is the latest youngster to join the club for the 2017 season.
21-year-old Karpany only managed 6 senior games for Indigenous Australian Northern Football League side Fitzroy Stars, however was recommended to the club by the Stars General Manager, in former AFL key forward Simon Minton-Connell.
A former member of the Port Adelaide Academy, Karpany managed Reserves & Under 18 football with the Pies, however would never breakthrough for a senior appearance following the club’s alignment restructure.
Karpany has developed a reputation for his tackling, and also has considerable pace and skill. He is the cousin of West Coast Eagles player, Malcolm, and he is upon excited receiving the opportunity to play State League Football once again.
“I’m just looking forward to getting VFL games under my belt and giving it another crack,” said Karpany.
Sebastian Spagnuolo, List & Recruiting Manager was pleased with the addition of another youngster to the clubs list for the 2017 season.
“Rivva is another exciting prospect for our football club in 2017, and a player that with further development, has the potential to have a real impact.”
“We’ll set no limits nor expectations on Rivva, but we’re keen to see where his footy can go in our environment.”
