The off season has been filled with some very exciting news regarding player commitments for 2022 and announcements of new signings that have joined the club, but in some additional exciting news, one of Coburg’s young VFL stars, Josh D’Intinosante has put pen to paper and extended his stay at Coburg till the end of the 2023 season.
D’Intinosante signed on to play for Coburg at the end of the 2019 NAB League season where he had played for the Northern Knights and won their Best and Fairest in 2018 and was runner up in 2019.
The dynamic small forward made his Coburg debut in round 1 of 2021 and played a total of only four games for the club in 2021 due to an elbow injury which he suffered in round 4 vs Collingwood and required surgery and rehabilitation. In his four games for the club, he was able to kick six goals in total with his three goal effort on debut his best individual performance.
Coburg FC General Manager Sebastian Spagnuolo said of D’Intinosante’s re-signing “JD is already a much loved player and person within our club and for him to recommit and feel strongly enough of the direction that our football program is headed in speaks volumes for the culture and environment that has been created by our coaches and leadership group. We can’t wait to see Josh and what he can do in a full season of VFL football in 2022 and now also the 2023 season.”
