Local League Lions Round 10

Plenty of Lions looked to press for a spot at senior level.

VAFA

Under Friday Night lights at Harry Trott Oval, Josh Watson started strong for Collegians, however on a tough night lost to Old Melburnians by 63 points with Watson in the best.

Harry Andronaco continued his good form at VAFA level being named in the best and Ben Overman also managed a goal, however it wasn’t good enough for St. Bernards as they lost away to Caulfield Grammarians.

Dylan Thomas, Jono Marsh and Tom Jepson played in Old Careys 106-point loss at home to University Blacks.

Mac Cameron continues his domination in the Premier C ruck division as Monash Blues made light work of Mazenod at home.

EDFL

Bailey Ryan played in Hillside’s 55-point loss to West Coburg.

Northern FL

Luke Bunker made his Heidelberg debut in a big 63-point win over Northcote Park at Warringal Park

Nathan Howard and Trent Warren went head-to-head as Bundoora with Howard in the ruck defeating Warren’s Macleod by 77-points.

Eastern FL

Liam Whelan played in another huge win for East Ringwood as they defeated Upper Ferntree Gully away by 124 points. Liam suffered an ankle injury in the game and will be assessed this week.

Bendigo FL

Playing in a different role in defence, Josh Kemp took part in another big win for Gisborne defeating Kangaroo Flat by 99-points.

GVFL

Riley Mason did not play for Seymour with the GVFL competition having the bye due to the competition interleague game against the O&MFNL.
