ONE CHANGE FOR TRIP DOWN TO MORNINGTON

The senior women’s squad will make the trip down to Mornington this Saturday for a top of the table clash against the Mornington Bulldogs.  The Burgers will look to secure the season clean sweep against the Bulldogs, who they overcame by 38 points in the home fixture in their round 4 clash. 

Senior Coach Liam Cavanagh will just make the one change from the team that secured a comprehensive victory against Frankston last week, with Shanel Camilleri unavailable Laura Elliott comes into the side to make her Coburg debut.   

The development team is also making one change for their meeting against Seaford. Louisa Cavanagh will join the squad against the Tigerettes. 

Last week the Senior squad continued to establish their dominance on the competition, chalking up their 7^th win of the season and maintaining their unbeaten record following their 56-point thumping of Frankston.  Rachel Burton and Regina Said were on song for the Burgers, kicking 3 goals apiece.  Brittany Gray and Chloe Prpic were immense around the contest, finishing with 13 and 14 tackles respectively and Kayla Koropeckyj continued to showcase how ball-winning ability, finishing with 23 disposals and 9 clearances. 

The development team will be eager to get back on the winners list this week, following their 33-poiint defeat against the Warragul Industrials; their first loss of the season.  Ashlea Wilson was the lone goalkicker against Warragul, with Hayley Baber, Kristelle Vanderwolf and Ruzena May were among the best perfomers. Coburg will be looking to recreate their round 1 performance against Seaford, which culminated in a resounding 101-point victory for the Lions.
