Senior coach Andrew Sturgess will make just one change to his line-up for this Saturday’s match up against Werribee, following a 24-point win against the Gold Coast and the exciting news that Sturgess has extended this tenure at Piranha Park for another two years.
Re-joining the pride this week is Ryan Sturgess. The key defender is coming into the side following strong form in Bundoora’s backline. He takes the place of Dylan Thomas.
A win against Werribee will secure consecutive victories for the Lions, the first time this season, taking their win tally for the season to five. Charlie Thompson will play an integral role in making that happen, looking to continue the vein of form after collecting 29 disposals and booting four goals in his best on ground performance against the Suns.
Werribee currently sit 8th on the ladder, with a superior percentage over 9th placed Collingwood. The Tigers have put together an impressive run of form recently, winning four of their last five matches, most recently accounting for North Melbourne, securing a 47-point win.
