SEWFL TEAM SELECTION – ROUND 12

By Marcus Beeck

Coming off back-to-back wins last Sunday at Piranha Park from both the development and senior sides, the Lions will be looking to continue their great form in the run home to finals.

The development side can take great confidence out of their last match against Devon Meadows after the Lions kept them scoreless and won by 89 points.

With only one change to the development side this week, Kurtis Shine in for Ruby Taranto, the team will be looking to continue with its winning ways after a strong victory against the Bass Coast last week.

The Lions were on top for most of the game and kept the Bass Coast goalless to three quarter time, before surviving a strong run late from Bass Coast to eventually win by 19 points.

The senior team had a strong victory over the Seaford Tigers. Although it was a cold and stormy day, the senior team will be looking to do better in front of goal as the Lions kicked only three goals from their 16 shots, with a further few going out on the full.

On the back of a strong game for the development side Ruby Taranto will start at full forward for the senior team as she looks to continue on from her great game last week.

The other inclusion this week for the senior team is Mia Muscat who returns to the side after being rested with a shoulder complaint last week.
