Local League Lions: Round 20

Many Lions continued to push their claim for a late season call up.

VAFA

Ben Overman once again played for St.Bernard’s as they went down by 53-points to Old Brighton away.

Alex Lukic kicked a goal for Old Scotch however they went down by 34 points to St. Kevins.

Jono Marsh kicked a goal and was named in the best again for Old Carey in their 100-point loss to Beaumaris.  Max Thompson also was named in the best, and Dylan Thomas also played.

Macgregor Cameron continued to re-affirm his dominance in Premier C as Monash Blues had a 10-goal win over Old Mentonians.

EDFL

Daniel Guccione managed 2 goals as Pascoe Vale fell short of ladder leaders Aberfeldie by 8 points at Clifton Park.

Bailey Ryan managed 4 goals as Hillside secured an upset win over West Coburg by 23-points at home.

Northern FL

Luke Bunker returned to Heidelberg, kicking a goal as they got over Greensborough away by 18-points.

Nathan Howard played for Bundoora as they got over Montmorency by 22-points, in a game between two sides that look likely to meet each other in the finals.

Eastern FL

Sam Lowson continued to build his match fitness with a 15-goal haul for East Ringwood in a 244-point win over Lilydale in the 2nd division of the Eastern Football League.

Goulburn Valley FL

Riley Mason played in an 11-point win for Seymour over Euroa.
