Local League Lions: Round 21

Many Lions looked to continue to end their 2022 on a good note with potential finals campaigns happening.

VAFA

Harry Andronaco played for St. Bernards in a 26-point loss to Old Melburnians at home.

Alex Lukic played for Old Scotch’s Reserves in a 17 point loss to Old Brighton.

Jono Marsh once again was named Old Carey’s best on ground in a 64-point loss to University Blacks. Dylan Thomas also played.

Mac Cameron once again dominated in the ruck for Monash Blues.

EDFL

Daniel Guccione managed two goals for Pascoe Vale in a 12-point win over Avondale Heights.

Bailey Ryan managed two of Hillside’s four goals as they went down to Airport West by 57-points. This was Hillside’s final game for season 2022 as they have missed the EDFL Division 1 finals.

Northern FL

Jhye Baddeley-Kelly managed two goals and was one of North Heidelberg’s better performers in a narrow five-point win over Montmorency at home.

Luke Bunker was named in the best players as Heidelberg had another big win over MacLeod.

Nathan Howard managed a goal in Bundoora’s big win over Northcote Park.

Bendigo FL

Josh Kemp returned from a shoulder injury to kick two goals, but Gisborne lost to Golden Square.

These players have put their hands up to make the trip with Coburg to Southport for the final H&A game of the VFL season.  You can see the selected team chosen to take on Southport later in the week.
