Upon the news of these re-signings, Coburg CEO Sebastian Spagnuolo said “Having at least 27 players from 2022 keen to re-sign for 2023, and hopefully more positive news to come soon, is testament to the environment being created by Andrew Sturgess and his support staff aswell as the work being done by the on field leadership group in 2022.

Over the coming weeks and months our attention will turn to improving the playing list for season 2023 but that process will be built upon a solid foundation of player retention which always makes recruiting easier and allows us to be more targeted.

We are grateful for the commitment of our playing group and we look forward to seeing them return for preseason in November hungrier and ready to go again on our quest for success.”
