With the 2023 season showing positive signs for Coburg, it is pleased to announce the re-signing of 16 of its Lions for the 2024 season.
In a great show of commitment and testament to the environment being created by the coaching staff and leadership group of the Men’s football program, the 16 re-signed players are as seen below.
The list of re-signings for 2024 are as follows:
Tom McKenzie – 25 VFL games, 22 years old
Flynn Gentile – 24 VFL games, 20 years old
Josh D’Intinosante – 24 VFL games, 21 years old
Braedyn Gillard – 35 VFL games, 22 years old
Liam Podhajski – 20 VFL games, 20 years old
Hugo McGlashan – 6 VFL games, 22 years old (debuted in 2023)
Alex Lukic – 8 VFL games, 19 years old.
Sam Mason – 6 VFL games, 21 years old (debuted in 2023)
Ben Rigoni – yet to debut, 21 years old
George Belcher – 4 VFL games, 20 years old (debuted in 2023)
Braden Andrews – 6 VFL games, 21 years old
Tom Rowland – yet to debut, 20 years old
Daniel Owen – 1 VFL game, 20 years old (debuted in 2023)
Ben Cameron – 3 VFL games, 19 years old (debuted in 2023)
Ingo Dammersmith – yet to debut, 19 years old
Aaron Gundry – 2 VFL games, 22 years old

Coburg FC’s CEO Sebastian Spagnuolo announced the re-signings and said “Having these initial 16 players re-sign for the 2024 season provides great stability for the club and we’re pleased that already, by this early stage of the season these players have decided to be part of the club’s future and want to be part of what hopefully becomes a successful period for the club.
Our members will see the youthfulness and the ages of these players who range from 0 to 35 VFL games worth of experience but it’s clear that these players and others that will be re-committing soon are the bright sparks for our future.”
Spagnuolo added “Over the course of the coming weeks there will be more list management announcements as our Men’s football department continues to improve and development at a great rate”
