LIONS ANNOUNCE CHANGES VS NORTH MELBOURNE

By Bruno Visentini

Coburg have announced the 28-man squad to take to our home game against North Melbourne at Piranha Park on Sunday the 18th of June as the club searches for its first win of 2023.

The side is coming off a bye meaning the boys should be well rested and ready to fire in this opportunity for improvement in the midst of a tough season.

The 28-man squad includes new addition to the squad Luke Bailey who could make his debut after being added to the list on Wednesday. Bailey was part of Coburg’s train-on list and has been very impressive for Old Haileybury in the VAFA in 2023. Along with Bailey, Ben Rigoni could find himself making his VFL and Coburg debut while Aaron Gundry could make his Coburg debut having played 2 matches for Carlton’s VFL side in 2021.

Rounding out the remaining inclusions are Jackson Bowne, Sam Mason, Max Kennedy, Braden Andrews, Daniel Owen and Daniel Johnston.

The confirmed omissions from the side that took on Werribee at Piranha Park in Round 11 are Ryan Exon, Braedyn Gillard, Josh Watson and Josh Kemp.

Our opponents in North Melbourne come off a 52-point win over the GWS Giants at Arden Street Oval marking three consecutive wins to sit in 6th place.
