Midfielder Sarah Jolly will make her Coburg Senior debut this Saturday as the Lions face 2nd placed Kew at Piranha Park.
Jolly has been an exceptional performer for our Development team since joining midway through the season, playing 6 matches, kicking two goals and has appeared in the best players on 6 occasions.
Ruby Taranto is back in the forward mix this week after a good showing against the Collegians and Cat O’Bryan will re-join the team after missing last week, rounding out the three inclusions. Defensive pair Lauren Suleiman and Michelle Sliwinski will miss, attacking utility Mia D’Agostino will feature in the Development team.
Four attacking inclusions for the Development this week, with Jacqui Bromilow reinstated to the team alongside D’Agostino, while Louisa Cavanagh and Armina Sherifi re-join the forward half set-up.
Both teams had strong victories in their previous outing against the Collegians at home last week, particularly the Development team who inflicted a 91-0 rout. Jolly was superb, collecting 31 disposals, 5 clearances and 2 goals.
Mikayla Kotas led the team in front of goal, booting three goals and had 17 hit outs.
For the Seniors, Teah Stepan had a team high 19 disposals and was dominant in and around the contest, finishing with 8 clearances and 2 tackles. Claire Cashman and Georgia Sampson shared the leading goalkicker on the day, kicking two goals apiece.
