The Coburg Lions put together a stirring performance at Barry Plant Park, claiming a hard-fought win over the Northern Bullants in Round 8 of the 2025 Smithy’s VFL season. In front of a vocal home crowd, the Lions dug deep to secure their third victory of the year, moving to 11th on the ladder with a 3-4 record and a healthy percentage of 110.70.
Midfielder Jack Bytel was the standout on the day, earning the Harold Martin Medal for his relentless work around the contest and leadership across four quarters. Bytel’s influence was crucial in setting the tone and helping Coburg get over the line in a game where every possession counted.
With momentum on their side, the Lions now turn their focus to a tough matchup this Saturday at Barry Plant Park, where they’ll host the Sydney Swans. Fans are urged to show their colours, get behind the boys, and create another electric atmosphere. Nick, Music is also back…..
