Not our day against Footscray
Coburg fell to the Footscray Bulldogs by 44 points last Saturday in a frustrating outing at Barry Plant Park. The Bulldogs were the better side on the day, executing cleaner ball movement and taking their chances when it mattered.
Despite the Lions’ efforts to stay in the contest, a number of missed opportunities made it an uphill battle.
The group will review the performance closely and look to bounce back with a stronger showing this weekend.

Coburg Football Club is proud to announce the launch of our inaugural Under 18s team in 2026 — a historic milestone for the club as we continue to invest in the next generation of football talent.
Based at our home ground, Barry Plant Park, this new team will provide a direct pathway for emerging players across Melbourne’s north to develop in a high-performance environment, under the guidance of elite coaches and the famous Coburg FC culture.
This exciting addition aligns with our long-term vision to grow grassroots football, develop the code in our region, strengthen our VFL program, and further embed Coburg FC as a destination for aspiring young footballers.
We welcome expressions of interest from players, families, coaches, and volunteers who want to be part of this new era.
