Michelle is an established business executive, community leader and non-executive Director.
Michelle brings a wealth of experience across a range of disciplines; strategy, culture, communication, brand, performance, governance and program management. Her success is in building high performing teams and organisations that deliver success – striving to always achieve what others say is unachievable. Michelle is a non-Executive Director of Central Bayside Community Health Services, and a Senior Executive with Bendigo Kangan Institute where she is the Chief People, Culture and Strategy Officer, and was named in the 2021 Top 50 Public Sector Women (Vic).
Angela became Junior Co-Ordinator of the club in 2020 and has played a vital role in the growth and development of the club's Junior program. Angela and her young family live locally in Coburg and outside of Coburg duties is a local school teacher.
Alex joined the club as a sponsor with his company, Piranha Snackfoods at the end of 2013 when the club went standalone again.
In 2015, Alex was elevated to Board Member and he has since used his background in the FMCG (fast moving consumer goods industry) to provide business expertise to the club.
Alex became club President in January 2022 and spends his time between Melbourne and Sydney where Piranha's operations and logistics are based.
Daniel is a Coburg Football Club Life Member and Hall of Fame member, playing four seasons for Coburg after playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). An opportunity with Wesfarmers (Bunnings) as part of their international expansion into the UK limited his time at Coburg, however Daniel joined the Board as Director in June 2023. Daniel worked across HR, Safety and People disciplines in multiple countries for over 12 years with Bunnings and is now the Head of Safety, Risk and Compliance at Johns Lyng Group where his focus is on culture, leadership, governance, risk management and operational support.
Nick joined Coburg Football Club in 2006, playing 168 games, kicking 148 goals and retiring in 2015. Nick captained Coburg FC for 7 years, topping the clubs goal kicking 4 times and named most courageous player on 5 occasions. Nick has stayed passionate and involved with Coburg FC, joining the board in 2022.
Outside of football, Nick joined Johns Lyng Group in 2014 and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Johns Lyng Australia. With a strong history in leading the Group’s Insurance Building and Restoration Services division’s operational and financial performance for the last 4 years, Nick now has oversight of the entire Group’s operational and financial performance. With over 15 years’ experience in the construction industry, Nick has significant experience in all facets of construction along with a Diploma in Financial Strategy from Oxford University. Nick has implemented a variety of successful and innovative business solutions along with creating and nurturing new industry relationships. Nick’s leadership has been pivotal in growing existing and new brands with a focus on our people. This leadership has allowed Johns Lyng to attract the very best talent to expand into new geographies and services.
National IT Manager of Salvos Stores with 30+ years’ experience in Retail System, Business Development, Volunteer Management and Stock Management. Previous roles include Non-Theatrical Business Executive at the Victorian Arts Centre, Systems design and implementation with Oamps Financial Services and RAAF Sergeant (Recruitment and Administration).
Liz is a recent member of the Coburg Football Club Board and has 14years’ experience as Chief Financial Officer (Sussan) as well as 14 years running her own successful HR Consulting business. Liz has genuine community interests at heart and has strong relationships honed through dedicated community sector work she has been involved in. This includes work as a Senior Manager in the Union movement as well as strong advocacy skills demonstrated across Disability and Women sectors.
