Luke Ryan off to the National Combine!

The Coburg Football Club would like to congratulate defender Luke Ryan on receiving an invite to the 2016 NAB AFL Draft Combine held in October this year.

Having only signed for the Lions less than a fortnight prior to the beginning of the opening round, Luke has managed nine games for the club this season.

Of those nine performances, Luke was awarded the Best on Ground medal on debut in the ANZAC Day clash with Box Hill, & other standout performances have come recently against Werribee, Footscray & Sandringham. Predominantly playing off half back, Luke has averaged 20.6 possessions in his nine games in 2016, along with 6.5 marks per match.

Luke is the only player from the VFL to have received an invite to the combine, & everyone at the Coburg Football Club would like to congratulate him on this achievement.

We also wish Luke all the best with the rest of his 2016 season and in the coming months leading up to this year’s drafts.
