Coburg will be on the hunt for their first win of the season on Sunday afternoon when they hosts Williamstown.
The Lions have been building every week and aren’t far away from stringing together a consistent four-quarter performance. The Seagulls have had an up and down season and most recently had a big win over Frankston.
Coburg will be making a few changing to their team that showed plenty in their last encounter against North Melbourne. Captain Tom Goodwin will miss this week through suspension while James Belo (ankle) and Josh Guthrie (hand) will sit out through injury.
Harry Nolan retains his spot in the team after an impressive debut and is named at centre half back. There are another few potential debutants this week with Adam Swierzbiolek, Josh Weightman, Brad Bernacki and Tyson Lever all included in the squad.
Liam Hunt was named Lion of the Round last weekend after an impressive display where he accumulated 37 touches and also kicked a goal. Hunt along with his teammates in the midfield such as Nick Mellington and Ben Allan will need a big day to get on top of the Williamstown midfield.
Coburg has struggled a little at times around the clearances this season and will look to improve this week. Michael Gibbons and Willie Wheeler have been in good form for the Seagulls and will need to be shut down on Sunday.
With Goodwin out, Mark Orr returns to the ruck where he has held his own so far this season. Aidan Tilley will start forward, but coach Leigh Adams will likely utilise his versatility and send him into the ruck on occasion.
