Coming off a match forfeit and a bye, the women’s senior squad will be eager to get back into the action this Sunday when they welcome Seaford to Piranha Park for a top of the table clash.
Senior coach Liam Cavanagh has selected two inclusions to the line-up. Lauren Collis and Isabella Hayes will re-join the squad, after impressing last week in the development teams’ victory over Karingal.
Mia Muscat will be unavailable for the game with a shoulder complaint.
Last time these two teams met the Lions scrapped through with a well-earned 12-point win on the road, courtesy of a brilliant 4-goal haul from small forward Teagan Brett.
There will be several changes for the development team ahead of their match against Bass Coast. Elaine Greely slots into the back pocket, after being a late omission due to illness, replacing Ruzena May, who is unavailable. Similarly, Lisa Anderson and Anna Morrow re-join the fray after suffering illness.
Jaime Nankiville and Ashlea Wilson will also be valuable additions to the matchday squad.
Last time these two sides met the Burgers scraped home with an 8-point win, after a two goal to nothing 3rd quarter set up the victory.
