Coburg has made six changes for Sunday’s clash against Geelong at Ballarat.
Leadership group member Luke Bunker is back following solid local form, with Aaron Clarke returns to the team after great goalscoring form at local.
Ruck Adam Swierzbiolek returns from illness, while Ryan Sturgess, Harry Andronaco, and Josh Watson also make their returns.
Charlie Thompson will miss the rest of the season following an ankle injury. Josh Kemp (shoulder), Edyn Sibbald (illness) and Sam McLarty (concussion) also come out of the side with short term injury/illness. Dylan Thomas and Jono Marshare the other two outs.
Sunday’s match marks the Coburg FC’s 1800th VFA/VFL game and is also Mitch Podhajski’s 50th club and VFL game.
Both teams are coming off a bye last weekend, Geelong lost their previous match to Carlton by 11 points in Round 17. The Lions are coming off a 28-point loss to Sandringham before the bye.
Geelong started the season strongly and had a 6-2 record before losing their next six matches in a row to fall to 15th on the ladder.
Coburg sit in 18th position on the ladder with their last win coming in Round 15, with both sides set to be hungry to claim the four points on Sunday.
