Vermont Key Defender Signs

1470056_729396293782231_3925449103748865031_nThe Coburg Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of young Vermont Key Defender Rory Lehmann.
The 19 year old Lehmann made his senior debut for Vermont in 2013 following standout performances in the under 19 competition, holding down a spot and going on to play in the finals series for the club later that season. In 2014, Lehmann played in 20 games and was named in Vermont’s best seven times, being one of their more consistent performers during the year.
Lehmann has been noted as one of the competitions rising stars, performing his role as a key defender by quelling the influence of some of the competitions best forwards, causing the opposition headaches in defence.
Lehmann also is also a former an Eastern Ranges youth squad member, and did the pre-season with Frankston in 2014, before deciding it was best to have another year with Vermont to further develop himself.
He is the second player from Vermont to sign for Coburg, joining Lachie Johns at the club. We are excited to have Rory on board for the 2015 season.
