Radley appointed as Women’s senior coach

The Coburg Football Club welcomes Simon Radley as the new Head Coach of the Women’s Program for 2024.

Simon was appointed after impressing during the interview process with his energy, enthusiasm and cultural alignment to the Coburg Football Club as well as having previous senior coaching experience in Women’s football.

Simon’s time in Queensland saw him as a Senior Assistant Coach at the Maroochydore Roos in the QAFLW, as well as coaching a Women’s program in Queensland and South Australia in his own right.

Secondary to this, Simon has spent time working on skill acquisition programs with current AFLW players showing a dedication for personal growth and development which strongly aligns with what Coburg Football Club is all about.

With a strong emphasis on skill acquisition, conditioning, injury prevention and game knowledge, we feel Simon can continue to enhance the strides taken in the past with our Women’s program and lift it to new heights in coming years.

Simon has already met the playing group and leadership team and is working through the current coaching vacancies in the Women’s program to shore things up moving into January.

We look forward to working with Simon and welcoming him to the Coburg Football Club family as he leads an integral part of our future on the field.
